Facilities and Sales Manager CSU Fullerton Auxiliary Services - 3.6 Fullerton, CA Job Details Full-time $70,304 - $75,304 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Outdoor work experience Driver's License Full Job Description Under the general direction of the Director of the Arboretum, the Facilities and Sales Manager is responsible for the administration of the Arboretum's public space/facilities rental program. The incumbent acts within established rental guidelines and agreements; markets the Arboretum's rental program to external and internal constituents; and coordinates functions with clients, service providers, and event staff. The Facilities and Sales Manager is also responsible for managing and coordinating maintenance of the program spaces/facilities. Essential Duties Responsible for marketing Arboretum's public rental venues to various external and internal constituents; including, but not limited to event planners, area hotels, campus departments and colleges, etc. Develop relationships with area businesses to use as off-site locations for meetings, business retreats, entertaining clients, etc. Responsible for working with entertainment and advertising industries as a location for motion picture and still pictures production Oversee the rental operation of the Arboretum's facilities, including rental policies and procedures, collection and refund of appropriate fees, corresponding rental agreements both prior to and after each event, and maintenance of calendared events. Oversee and coordinate client's service providers/vendors (caterer, equipment rental, etc.) ensuring all service providers/vendors adhere to the Arboretum's requirements and physical limitations. Responsible for obtaining all appropriate certificates of insurance from the client's service providers/vendors (caterer, equipment rental, etc.) and for those listed as additionally insured. Manage and supervise facilities event staff, including hiring, training and guidance, and scheduling for specific events. Oversee, coordinate, and ensure client's reasonable needs are met, before, during, and after the event. Manage and oversee concerns related to service providers/vendors, clients, and events. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Experience managing and supervising staff. Minimum five (5) years of experience is preferred. Familiarity with budget planning (budgets/goals/objectives). Minimum five (5) years of experience is preferred. Must have a valid California driver's license to operate Arboretum vehicles as needed Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Experience in event planning Excellent sales skills Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate policies, procedures, and contracts Excellent customer services skills Demonstrated skill to interact successfully with a diverse clientele, including ability to demonstrate sensitivity to various emotions Previous experience in rental venues, preferred
EDUCATION
Minimum Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or minimum six (6) years of equivalent work experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent and prolonged periods of standing, walking extended distances, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, or walking on uneven ground while performing duties. Reaching or stretching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Physical labor, lifting, pushing, carrying, or pulling of objects/material up to 25 pounds.
