What You'll Be Doing in the role of
Facilities Assistant:
Perform a variety of plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical maintenance. Repair and upkeep of all buildings, grounds and equipment to ensure a safe environment for all Agency buildings. Set up and take down for office moves, meetings or other functions. Respond to emergency situations and solve safety concerns in an immediate fashion. Operate various hand and power tools; as well as working with chemical cleaning products. Plan and organize work requests received by employees. Oversee the work completed by contractors to ensure all tasks are completed and meet safety requirements, regulations and codes. Assess all facilities and equipment problems and perform or recommend appropriate repairs. Maintain records of preventative maintenance services and service requests. Respond to phone calls and emails within 24 hours on business days to resolve outstanding issues. Attend and participate in Agency meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement activities to enhance team and program development. Must have the ability to operate their personal or Agency motor vehicle between facilities. Participate in on-call and after-hours rotation as assigned. May be required to work some evenings and weekends.

License:
Possess a valid California driver's license, current car insurance and a good driving record as documented by a DMV report and consistent with the Agency's liability insurance requirements. Requires an automobile to perform routine job duties.
