Job Description
Therm-x of California is the leading manufacturer of Advanced Temperature and Control Systems for Hi-Technology industries. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will work closely with the facilities department to ensure both buildings are always maintained to high standards of cleanliness, and all safety standards are followed. We have openings for both day or swing shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; Evaluate work orders to determine scope and work procedures necessary to perform job. Offer assistance to other technician's assisting in assignments. Assist in the creation of a culture of safety and environmental protection by performing work safely, in accordance with departmental safety procedures. Maintain a clean appearance throughout both facilities at all times Replenish and restock supplies as needed Keep inventory of janitorial supplies as needed Maintain logs of completed work during daily activities. Qualifications and Skills; High School Diploma or equivalent required Ability to stand for extended periods of time; walking; climb stairs; climb ladders; stoop and kneel Ability to work in the following conditions: heat, cold, heights, temperature swings, outdoors, indoors, trenches, or around the following conditions: mechanical, electrical, explosive, fume/odor, dust/mites, toxic waste, chemical hazards and noise. Ability to understand and follow simple written and oral instructions. Ability to respond to emergency situation in a timely manner.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell.
