$75,000 - $85,000 The Facilities Manager serves as a key partner to Alfred's Operations team, overseeing the maintenance, repair, cleanliness, and overall functionality of our 27+ cafes and facilities across Los Angeles. This role is responsible for keeping our physical spaces operating at a high standard from cafe equipment and HVAC systems to preventative maintenance, signage installations, cleaning services, and day-to-day facility needs. You'll manage Alfred's internal facilities team, beverage equipment technician, and external vendors, while regularly visiting cafe locations to proactively identify maintenance needs and ensure issues are resolved quickly and effectively What You'll do Facilities Operations & Maintenance Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, maintenance, and repairs across Alfred's headquarters, warehouse, and cafe locations. Coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs for cafe equipment, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fixtures, and other building systems. Manage service requests through completion, prioritizing issues based on urgency and operational impact. Oversee signage installations, facility projects, and maintenance support for new cafe openings and renovations Partner with cafe managers and Operations leadership to identify needs, resolve recurring issues, and minimize disruption to operations. Team & Vendor Management Manage internal facilities and maintenance team and beverage equipment technician, including scheduling, preventative maintenance, service quality, and follow-through. Oversee cleaning services and ensure established cleanliness and facility standards are consistently met. Manage relationships with contractors and facilities vendors, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and installation partners. Monitor vendor performance, costs, and response times and hold partners accountable to service expectations. Facilities Planning & Process Improvement Maintain preventative maintenance schedules, service records, facilities procedures, and vendor information. Monitor facilities expenses and partner with Operations and Finance on budgets, invoices, and repair-versus-replacement decisions. Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve preventative maintenance, response times, equipment reliability, and overall facilities operations. What You'll Bring 3+ years of facilities management, maintenance operations, property management, or related experience; multi-location retail or hospitality experience strongly preferred. Experience managing facilities teams, contractors, and third-party vendors. Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, commercial equipment, preventative maintenance, and general building systems. Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on approach. Ability to manage facilities budgets, vendor relationships, competing priorities, and repair-versus-replacement decisions. Ability to travel between Alfred locations throughout Los Angeles, respond to urgent facilities needs when necessary. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
