Length of Work Year See Job Description Employment Type Full Time Job Summary Job Summary MiraCosta is seeking to fill the Director, Facilities classified administrator position, an exempt, full-time position working 40 hours per week, 12 months per year, on the Oceanside Campus and reporting to the Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Administrative Services. The normal work schedule will be 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The person selected for this position will be subject to assignment to any district facility during any hours of operation. The first-level interviews with the screening and interview committee will be conducted via Zoom. The second-level interviews will be conducted in person. Human Resources will review applications submitted by September 23 (the first screening date), from September 23 through September 30. Candidates selected for a first-level interview can expect to hear from Human Resources after October 9. Tentative first-level interviews are scheduled for October 22-23, with second-level interviews anticipated approximately two weeks later, on November 12-13.
RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
MiraCosta College Board Policy 7800: Employee Residency requires all classified staff, administrators, and temporary/hourly short-term employees to maintain and permanently reside in a principal place of residence in the state of California that is within two hundred (200) road miles from the employee's regularly assigned district worksite. The District may consider an individual's request to temporarily reside outside the State of California or beyond the 200-mile limit on a case-by-case basis, provided it does not exceed 12 consecutive months. Under general direction, plan, organize, control and direct the operations and activities of the Facilities department including the maintenance, repair and capital projects related to campus buildings/facilities, grounds, vehicles and equipment; develop and prepare the department budget; and perform related duties as assigned.
