The Bay City Electric Works team provides standby generator, energy storage, and engine solutions to make back up power a certainty for our customers. With over 130 employees and growing, BCEW brings the stability and structure of an established business, while still valuing the individual team members that support our success and to be the go-to generator systems supplier in California, Nevada, and Hawaii. Offering quality brands like KOHLER/Rehlko® and Bobcat, the BCEW team provides new equipment, service, and rental power solutions for commercial, municipal, and residential customers that require emergency generator back-up power. Position Summary The Fleet & Facilities Manager is responsible for the administration and coordination of the company's vehicle fleet, as well as oversight for maintenance and tenant improvements at our facilities. This position oversees vehicle registrations, titles, insurance documentation, accident claims, regulatory compliance, and vehicle acquisition and disposal while ensuring accurate records and timely completion of fleet-related activities. The Fleet & Facilities Manager will partner with our vehicle leasing vendor and be able to leverage vehicle monitoring and telematics data for planning purposes. This individual will work closely with local Service Managers, Environmental Health & Safety Team and staff in our 9 Power Group locations throughout the Western States to ensure our facilities are well maintained. Key Responsibilities Fleet Management Manage vehicle registrations, renewals, titles, transfers, and related documentation across multiple states. Coordinate vehicle acquisition, delivery, registration, assignment, and disposal. Maintain accurate fleet records, including registrations, titles, insurance documents, and vehicle information. Monitor applicable regulatory and compliance requirements and ensure required documentation remains current. Coordinate vehicle accident reporting and insurance claims with employees, insurance providers, and other stakeholders. Develop vehicle replacement recommendations based on age, mileage, maintenance costs, condition, and operational needs. Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for fleet-related matters and coordinate with DMV agencies, dealerships, vendors, and insurance providers. Identify opportunities to improve fleet processes, reduce costs, and improve turnaround times. Manage fuel programs and fuel-card administration, including monitoring usage, issuing new cards, and identifying unusual or excessive activity. Partner with vehicle leasing vendor, including obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing, and managing vendor performance. Monitor fleet expenses and budgets, including maintenance, fuel, registration, insurance, and other fleet-related costs. Monitor driver compliance with company fleet policies and applicable requirements, including driving records, documentation, licenses, and required training. Develop vehicle replacement recommendations based on age, mileage, maintenance costs, condition, and operational needs. Coordinate vehicle branding, decals, and company equipment installation/removal when vehicles are acquired, reassigned, or disposed of. Facilities Management Coordinate general office maintenance, permits, operations, supplies, equipment, vendors, and facilities-related needs. Assist with the planning and coordination of office buildouts, renovations, relocations, and other capital expenditure projects, including vendor coordination, scheduling, purchasing, and project tracking. Partner with departments across the organization to support operational and administrative needs. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in fleet administration, fleet management, facilities/office management, or a related field. Experience managing vehicle registrations and titles, preferably across multiple states. Knowledge of government regulations and compliance requirements related to company vehicles. Experience with vehicle acquisition, registration, titling, and disposal processes. Experience coordinating vehicle accident reports and insurance claims. Strong attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with limited supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn fleet and business management systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting a multi-location or multi-state organization. Familiarity with multiple vehicle types and their operational purposes. Experience working directly with DMV agencies and vehicle registration processes. Willingness to pursue applicable licensing and authorization to support California DMV Business Partner Automation (BPA) activities and potentially bring certain registration and title-processing functions in-house. Competitive Pay Rate:
Pay range for this role is $80,000-115,000, dependent upon experience and location.
