Job Description

Project Manager - Facilities & Space Planning About the Role We are seeking a Project Manager to support building rearrangements, space reconfigurations, renovation‑related initiatives, and departmental moves across multiple facilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of facilities planning, construction coordination, and stakeholder management , with the opportunity to see projects through from early planning to final closeout. The Project Manager will partner closely with internal teams, vendors, architects, and contractors to ensure space changes are executed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with established facility standards. Experience navigating multi‑stakeholder environments, coordinating renovation activity, and managing documentation is essential for success in this role. Primary Responsibilities Prepare layouts of existing and proposed space configurations , including seating plans, furniture arrangements, capacity changes, and departmental relocations Coordinate design updates by gathering and incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders Support bid package preparation , material and equipment procurement, and bidder walkthroughs Participate in weekly coordination meetings and assist with pre‑construction planning , including scheduling, contractor access, and safety expectations Monitor day‑to‑day work progress to ensure quality, schedule alignment, and safety compliance Provide weekly project status updates and develop bi‑weekly executive summaries for leadership Review contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and scope alignment Ensure all as‑built documentation is accurately maintained across project records and space management systems Qualifications & Skills Experience in facilities planning, construction coordination, architectural production, or a related field Strong understanding of space planning, renovation workflows, and building change management Experience performing field verification and site measurements Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects across different facilities Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Hartford, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
