Job Description

Purpose of Position:
To manage the daily operations, safety and physical maintenance of company property, including buildings, grounds and machinery.
Core Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Inspect buildings, machinery and supporting equipment and perform routine upkeep to ensure compliance and proper operational conditions.
  • Implement and enforce security and safety protocols that comply with local fire, health and building regulations.
  • Manage all outside contractors and vendors, including company durables and consumables.
  • Partner with General Manager and create capital budget for ALL operational requirements.
  • Design, outline and execute maintenance projects; short term and long term, often multiple projects running concurrently.
  • Oversee training in maintenance operations, including development, execution and documentation of company-wide preventive maintenance program.
  • Perform employee assessment and reviews.
  • Conducts special projects under the direction of the Company.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts and supporting manufacturing equipment.
  • Performs any additional duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Company.
Physical Requirements:
  • Possess good mobility and sensory processing, including dexterity and control of both hands and feet.
  • Regularly required to be on feet > 50% of time, including sustained or prolonged static postures.
  • Handling and moving items up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Preferred Credentials and Skills:
High School Diploma. Any higher education is an advantage. At least 7 years related experience and/or training in manufacturing maintenance (preferably steel fabrication), including supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess proficient computer skills to perform daily administrative duties, including use of Microsoft Office and internet. Possess strong numerical computation skills with ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, blue prints, and mechanical and electrical schematics.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Proven ability to solve practical, multi-variable problems in structured environments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Employment Type:
  • Full-time; 1st Shift (M-F). At least one Saturday per month, as business needs dictate.
  • $80-$100K annual salary with bonus potential.
