CFY Supervisor (Skilled Nursing Facility) Harborside Health & Rehabilitation Washington, DC Job Details Per diem $45 - $58 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Master's degree in speech-language pathology (SLP) Master's degree Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description CFY Supervisor - Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) (Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Supervisor) Job Summary The CFY Supervisor in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) is responsible for mentoring, training, and supervising Clinical Fellows (CFs) completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) in Speech-Language Pathology. This role ensures compliance with American Speech-Language-Hearing Association standards while supporting high-quality patient care for geriatric and medically complex populations. Key Responsibilities Provide direct supervision and mentorship to Clinical Fellows in accordance with ASHA guidelines. Conduct regular observations, evaluations, and competency assessments of CF clinicians. Review and co-sign clinical documentation, evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes as required. Educate CFs on SNF regulations, reimbursement systems, productivity standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, and facility regulations. Assist with development of evidence-based treatment plans for residents with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. Collaborate with rehabilitation staff, nursing, physicians, social workers, and families regarding patient care. Monitor caseload management, scheduling efficiency, and ethical clinical practices. Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, and professional development support. Participate in department meetings, quality assurance programs, and staff education initiatives. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA required. Minimum of 3-5 years of SNF or adult rehabilitation experience preferred. Prior supervisory or mentoring experience preferred. Strong knowledge of dysphagia management, cognitive-linguistic treatment, and geriatric rehabilitation. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Nethealth and Point Click Care Knowledge of Medicare Part A and Part B documentation Strong mentoring and teaching abilities Time management and conflict resolution skills
