Working under the direction of the Facilities Director, you will play a key role in ensuring our property remains safe, functional, and well-maintained. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys a variety of hands-on tasks and takes pride in quality workmanship. Responsibilities The Facilities Assistant works under the direction of the Facilities Director to maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment in top-notch condition. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Performing general building maintenance and repairs, including drywall repair, carpentry, painting, and related tasks Assisting with basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance Maintaining grounds and landscaping to ensure the property remains clean, safe, and attractive Handling, transporting, and preparing materials and supplies Collecting and properly disposing of hazardous materials in accordance with safety guidelines Operating company vehicles as required Assisting other departments and team members as needed Following all workplace safety procedures and maintaining a clean work environment Qualifications The ideal candidate will: Be at least 25 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record to meet insurance requirements for operating company vehicles Have verifiable experience in drywall repair, general building maintenance, and repair work Possess basic knowledge and hands-on experience with plumbing and electrical repairs Have experience with groundskeeping and landscape maintenance Be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team Be dependable, professional, and capable of maintaining high standards of workmanship Be willing to work a flexible schedule when needed Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors for an entire 8-hour shift in varying weather conditions Ability to safely lift and carry 40-50 pounds Ability to safely work on ladders up to 16 feet and scaffolding up to 40 feet Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, climbing, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods Ability to work around cleaning products, paint, and other maintenance-related materials.
