Love Position Overview:

The Facilities and Hospitality Support position is responsible for creating a welcoming and hospitable environment on Sundays by being the first presence on campus, unlocking buildings, assisting members and guests, and supporting the needs of worship services through facilities readiness. During the mid-week hours, this position provides custodial support and event setup services as part of the Facilities team. Flexibility is required to adjust hours based on church activities and facility needs.

Schedule:

Sunday:

7:00 am - 2:00 pm

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday:

5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Arrive promptly to open and prepare all facilities for worship services
• Provide a welcoming presence for congregation members and guests
• Assist elderly or mobility-challenged guests entering the building
• Monitor facilities throughout the morning to address immediate needs (spills, cleanliness, room resets)
• Support with facility-related requests
• Secure buildings after services conclude
• Perform general cleaning for exterior and interior of all church buildings as directed by supervisor including but not limited to the following: o Gather and empty trash o Sweep, mop, or vacuum building floors o Clean restrooms and stock them with supplies o Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment o Wash windows, walls, and glass o Notify supervisor when a building needs major repairs • Set up rooms for a range of activities and functions that are located on campus including church events and outside vendor events (as requested) • Assist and perform other duties as assigned

Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; however, significant custodial experience beyond that required for the position may be substituted for required formal education
• Team player mentality with the ability to lead
• Ability to work independently, is self-directed and self-discipline Preferred Qualifications
• Two years of custodial, facilities support, hospitality, or customer service experience, with an emphasis on creating positive, welcoming environments.
• General knowledge and experience with cleaning procedures and safe chemical use.
• Familiar with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) law and regulations Spiritual Gifts (God-given gifts valuable in completing job duties) :
• Helping (serving) - provide aid and relief to meet practical needs
• Hospitality - make others feel welcome and comfortable
