Addison Group is partnering with our client to hire a dependable and hands-on Facilities Assistant to support the daily maintenance and upkeep of its property. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors, takes pride in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and is comfortable completing a variety of maintenance and grounds-related projects.
Job Description:
The Facilities Assistant will provide general maintenance, grounds, and operational support across the property. Responsibilities will range from completing routine work orders and property cleanup to assisting with minor repairs, event setup, and equipment needs. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, comfortable working independently, and willing to assist wherever needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete routine facility work orders and assist with day-to-day property maintenance needs. Perform general grounds upkeep, including clearing walkways, removing debris, and maintaining outdoor areas. Assist with basic repairs involving carpentry, plumbing, and other general maintenance needs. Help maintain and repair outdoor structures, walkways, and other areas throughout the property. Coordinate with volunteers and team members on cleanup and maintenance projects. Assist with basic maintenance and repairs of facility and fleet equipment. Set up meeting rooms and other spaces for events, programs, and special functions. Transport equipment, pick up supplies, and complete local errands as required. Follow established safety procedures and help maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors. Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, visitors, and other individuals throughout the property. Provide additional facilities and operational support as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or vocational education required. Up to one year of experience in facilities maintenance, groundskeeping, building trades, or a related field preferred. Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, or general repair work. Valid U.S. driver's license required. Ability to safely transport equipment and travel to nearby work locations when necessary. Strong attention to detail with pride in producing quality work. Ability to work independently with limited supervision while also contributing effectively to a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Dependable, professional, and capable of using sound judgment when completing assigned tasks. Commitment to following workplace health and safety procedures.
Additional Details:
Approximately 20 hours per week. Position is fully onsite in Naples, Florida. Work may be performed both indoors and outdoors. Must be comfortable working outside in varying weather conditions and on different types of terrain. Schedule flexibility may occasionally be required to support facility operations, events, or other business needs. Role involves interaction with staff, volunteers, visitors, and members of the surrounding community.
