Full-Time Job Summary Beacon Recovery is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee nursing operations within our substance use disorder treatment program. The DON is responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality patient care, maintaining regulatory compliance, managing nursing staff, and supporting effective clinical operations. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to the nursing department. Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate nursing staff. Ensure nursing coverage meets facility needs and patient acuity. Develop, implement, and monitor nursing policies and procedures. Oversee medication management, medication administration, controlled substances, and pharmacy processes. Ensure appropriate withdrawal monitoring, including

assessments when indicated. Monitor nursing assessments, daily nursing documentation, medication records, and treatment compliance. Participate in admissions, discharge planning, hospital transfers, and coordination of patient care. Collaborate with the Medical Director, providers, clinical leadership, and operations. Maintain compliance with Florida regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and facility policies. Conduct nursing audits and implement corrective actions and performance improvement initiatives. Manage nursing supplies, medication-related resources, and departmental expenses. Participate in leadership meetings, quality improvement activities, and survey preparation. Provide appropriate on-call leadership and support to nursing staff. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Florida RN license required. Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in substance use disorder, detoxification, behavioral health, or a related treatment setting. Previous nursing leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of detoxification and residential substance use disorder treatment. Experience with EHR/MAR systems and clinical documentation. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage staff while maintaining patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality of care. Working Conditions Full-time leadership position with on-call responsibilities as needed. The DON must be comfortable working in a behavioral health and substance use disorder treatment environment and responding to clinical and operational needs as they arise.

$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
