Job Description
BRIEF JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities & Campus Operations Manager is responsible for campus safety, security, regulatory compliance, facilities operations, and infrastructure management for Collage Day School. This position serves as the primary point of contact for all campus security and facilities-related matters and plays a foundational role in ensuring the school remains safe, compliant, and fully operational at all times. The role requires significant flexibility, technical skill, responsiveness, and deep institutional knowledge of campus systems and compliance history. Responsibilities extend beyond routine maintenance and include emergency response coordination, regulatory oversight, and operational leadership.Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM with one 30 minute lunch break. This position requires 24/7 on-call availability for urgent safety, security, and facilities emergencies. This job description reflects the designation of essential job functions but does not provide an all-inclusive list of duties that may be assigned.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Serve as the primary point of contact for all campus safety and security matters, including responding to alarm activations, security alerts, and emergency after-hours calls. 2. Maintain 24/7 on-call availability to address urgent facilities or safety issues impacting students, staff, or property. 3. Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire services, and emergency responders as needed. 4. Oversee and maintain campus security systems including cameras, access control systems, alarms, exterior lighting, and perimeter safety measures. 5. Ensure compliance with all state and local regulatory agencies, including but not limited to DCF, fire marshal, building inspector, health department, and scholarship program requirements. 6. Prepare for, coordinate, and participate in inspections, audits, and site visits. 7. Implement and document corrective actions to maintain licensure, scholarship eligibility, and operational approvals- campus compliance. 8. Manage day-to-day operations of all campus buildings, grounds, and infrastructure. 9. Perform hands-on carpentry, repairs, construction, and maintenance tasks as needed. 10. Schedule, supervise, and coordinate outside vendors, contractors, and service providers. 11. When needed perform repairs and maintenance outside of instructional hours when necessary to minimize disruption to classrooms. 12. Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules to reduce long-term risk and unexpected failures. 13. Troubleshoot outages or service disruptions and coordinate rapid resolution. 14. Monitor utility usage and when needed assist leadership in resolve billing discrepancies to ensure continuity of essential services. 15. Design, construct, and install new campus features, furnishings, and improvements as needed. 16. Complete campus modifications, and improvements to support enrollment growth and evolving operational needs. 17. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of campus systems, infrastructure history, and compliance documentation. 18. Serve as a central operational bridge between administration, staff, regulators, vendors, and emergency services. 19. Provide critical problem-solving for unforeseen facilities and safety issues. 20. Other related duties as assigned.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing, climbing ladders, etc.) in the course of facilities and maintenance work. 2. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects and equipment. 3. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. 4. Must have visual acuity to inspect facilities, equipment, and grounds for safety and maintenance needs. 5. Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools, machinery, and computer equipment. 6. Must be physically present at the assigned job site.REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

Collage Day School LeadershipEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or specialized training in facilities management, construction, or a related field preferred. 2. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facilities management, construction, maintenance, or related field preferred. 3. Experience working in a regulated environment (school, childcare, healthcare, or similar setting) preferred.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
1. Extensive knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety systems, and general construction. 2. Ability to manage multiple projects and respond quickly to urgent situations. 3. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 4. Ability to coordinate vendors, contractors, and regulatory officials professionally and effectively. 5. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements related to school facilities and safety. 6. Strong organizational and documentation skills. 7. Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in emergency or high-pressure situations. 8. Ability to communicate effectively with administration, staff, parents, and outside agencies. 9. Must demonstrate good judgment, initiative, and accountability. 10. Must be dependable and flexible to meet the operational needs of the school.Pay:
