55 For over 25 years, National Experienced Workforce Solutions (NEW Solutions) has specialized in connecting experienced workers (ages 55+) with full-time and part-time job opportunities that support the critical missions of Federal Agencies across the United States. NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.
Duration:
This position is currently funded for up to 1,300 hours.

Qualifications:
HS/GED Degree with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in Building Maintenance Administration /Facility Management Experience working with larger institutional maintenance services a plus. Experience required with
Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook Duties:
The Facilities Manager supports SEAC operations by coordinating building maintenance needs among GSA, Florida State University (the lessor), and various contractors to support both office/staff and museum storage spaces and functions. The position requires organization; an understanding of building maintenance needs; strong, tactful communication skills; and the ability to work with stakeholders with a variety of backgrounds and experience. Maintaining awareness of current building status and identifying maintenance needs. 15% Reporting maintenance needs to landlord clearly through established means, tracking, and following up on work tickets to ensure repairs/maintenance is performed. Troubleshooting with stakeholders to identify issues and solutions. 43% Maintain safety of facility by working with maintenance to ensure climate and security protection measures are followed during visits. In the event of anticipated severe weather, assist with building preparations and after-storm response following established protocols. 22% Updating GSA and NPS Management on building issues as the intermediary; sharing updates/notices to staff via email. 10% Backup for after-hours security alarm call-outs (two-hour minimum compensation in event of a call-out). 3% Schedule and coordinate annual cleaning and routine or scheduled maintenance of the building and systems. 5% Assist with transportation of government owned vehicles for maintenance, as needed. 2%
Other:
Physical requirements: Work is generally sedentary and conducted indoors at a desk using a laptop and telephone. Some walking needed to assess building maintenance needs and meet with workers. May need to move bulky items in response to maintenance or space needs or to assist with removing excess property (as determined by NPS).
