GED Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all NFMC properties across multiple counties. The position ensures all buildings and grounds are well-maintained, the infrastructure is in good condition, and all systems are operating safely and efficiently. In addition, the role involves managing cleanliness, coordinating repairs and preventive maintenance, addressing facility-related issues promptly, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Facilities Manager may perform HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance tasks that do not require a state contractor license in accordance with Florida Statutes. This includes tasks such as replacing switches, outlets, and light fixtures; unclogging drains; repairing leaking faucets, replacing door knobs; and performing other general system upkeep that does not alter the original system design or required permitted work. Responsible for the renovation and repair of all NFMC facilities to enhance the NFMC image. Oversees and coordinates with vendors who provide maintenance licensed services to the NFMC facilities.
SCHEDULE/HOURS
Full Time Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., but extended hours may be needed on some occasions. Rarely weekends, but may be needed on occasion. Rare overnight travel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of five years of construction or trade services experience
