Job Description
Position Type Part-time, 25-30 hours/week including Sundays and other days as assigned; occasionally more hours if needed Purpose To support the maintenance, cleanliness, and readiness of the church campus by carrying out assigned tasks under the direction of the Facilities Coordinator. Accountability Reports to the Facilities Coordinator Position Summary The Facilities Assistant supports the day-to-day care of the church buildings and grounds. This role ensures that all areas remain clean, orderly, and ready for ministry use. The Facilities Assistant carries out assigned tasks and remains available during working hours and key ministry times to support facility needs.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•General Facilities Support Carry out tasks assigned by the Facilities Coordinator and complete checklists when provided for tasks and regular assignments Assist with maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of all campus spaces Support setup and teardown for events, worship services, and programs Cleaning & Upkeep Ensure all buildings and grounds are clean and free of trash Maintain cleanliness of high-use areas, including restrooms, entryways, and common spaces daily Complete more thorough cleaning as directed by the Facilities Coordinator Assist in maintaining outdoor spaces and grounds Availability & Responsiveness Remain available and reachable during working hours Able to work regularly on Sundays, other days of the week as assigned, and special events Respond promptly to facility needs or emergencies as directed during scheduled hoursQUALIFICATIONS
•Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred Experience in custodial or maintenance work is beneficial Skills and Competencies Ability to follow instructions and complete assigned tasks Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance practices Dependable and punctual Personal Characteristics Reliable and willing to assist where needed Hardworking and attentive to detail Flexible and adaptable Heart for service and hospitality Professional appearance and cleanliness Able to pass a background check including a Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) check Professional Characteristics Works well under supervision Demonstrates a positive and cooperative attitude Maintains professionalism in all interactions Ability to lift at least 70 pounds regularlyPay:
