Director of Construction and Facilities Beck's Admin Office | Princeton, IL Help build the future of Beck's. Beck's is looking for an experienced Director of Construction and Facilities to lead the planning, development, analysis, construction, remodeling, and maintenance of our growing network of convenience stores and car washes. This role also leads our maintenance team and plays a key role in Beck's continued growth. This hands-on leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys turning ideas into reality, researching products, tracking and analyzing costs, building strong partnerships, solving problems, and delivering quality results from start to finish. Proactively managing schedules, budgets, materials, and project quality. Visit project sites regularly to monitor progress, resolve challenges, and ensure work meets Beck's high standards. Facilities and Maintenance Oversee the company's facilities maintenance program. Supervise the Maintenance Manager and help prioritize maintenance projects and daily work orders. Serve as a resource for the maintenance team by providing technical guidance and construction expertise. Vendor and Project Management Build and manage relationships with qualified contractors, vendors, and business partners. Select the right partners for each project and hold them accountable for costs, quality, timelines, and performance. Research and recommend equipment, materials, and building solutions that support Beck's long-term success. Support our goal of reducing costs while still providing a store WOW factor. Financial Management Collect bids, develop project budgets, analyze costs, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining the quality Beck's customers expect. Strategic Growth Support Beck's long-term growth by improving construction processes, developing internal expertise, and reducing reliance on outside general contractors where appropriate. What Success Looks Like Projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Every Beck's location reflects the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail our customers expect. Strong partnerships exist across contractors, vendors, and the maintenance team. Construction costs are managed responsibly while supporting Beck's continued growth. Experience & Qualifications Experience managing commercial construction, remodeling, or facilities projects. Proven ability to work effectively with contractors, vendors, architects, and multiple trades. Skilled at managing multiple projects and priorities while maintaining Beck's high standards. Comfortable reading construction plans and managing project budgets. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. A leader who enjoys improving processes and finding practical solutions. Sound judgment when balancing quality, timelines, and budgets. Committed to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Comfortable balancing long-term planning with day-to-day project execution. Willing to travel regularly to Beck's locations and construction sites.
