Unit Team Manager / Heritage Trail Correctional Facility - Plainfield, IN $28.09/hour | Monday-Friday | Day Shift | No Weekends | No Mandatory Overtime Are you an experienced case management or correctional professional ready to step into a leadership role? Action Staffing is hiring a Unit Team Manager (UTM) to lead and support case management operations at Heritage Trail Correctional Facility (HTCF), a minimum-security correctional facility focused on rehabilitation, education, and successful reentry. This is a permanent, full-time W-2 position with Action Staffing assigned to work at HTCF through our long-standing partnership with GEO Group. Who We're Looking For Ideal candidates will have direct experience in case management, classifications, programs, reentry, or a closely related role within a prison or correctional facility. Candidates with strong comparable experience in community corrections, probation/parole, reentry services, social services, criminal justice, or another highly related case management environment may also be considered based on overall experience and qualifications.

$28.09 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Standard Hours:
7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. After completion of the required training period, daily start and end times may be slightly adjusted based on department needs and supervisor approval. Position Overview The Unit Team Manager provides leadership and oversight for case management operations within the facility. This position supervises Case Managers, monitors the quality and accuracy of case management work, and helps ensure departmental and facility standards are consistently met. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong case management, corrections, reentry, or criminal justice background who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, coach, and support Case Managers Review offender case plans, risk assessments, and related documentation Review CPCT time cuts and other case management processes Conduct quality assurance reviews and quarterly audits Oversee and assist with offender job placement processes Monitor departmental compliance and work quality Ensure compliance with facility, corporate, IDOC, and ACA standards Respond to offender inquiries and coordinate services as needed Work closely with classifications, programs, security, and facility leadership Help maintain organized, accurate, and timely case management operations Qualifications Experience in case management, classifications, programs, reentry, community corrections, probation/parole or a closely related field Previous correctional or criminal justice experience Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Bachelor's degree required but equivalent relevant experience may be considered Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple priorities in a structured environment High school diploma or GED required Must be able to pass required criminal background screening and urine drug screen Paid Training All new hires complete approximately 5 weeks of paid training , including classroom instruction, facility orientation, policies and procedures, correctional operations, and hands-on personal protection, and on-the-job training. Training is held at IYC, located next door to HTCF.

This minimum-security correctional facility in Plainfield, Indiana, houses approximately 900 adult male offenders approaching release within the next 5 years. The facility emphasizes rehabilitation, education, vocational programming, and successful community reentry. About Action Staffing Action Staffing is a locally owned, WBE-certified Indiana staffing company established in 1985, with offices in New Castle, Evansville, and Vincennes. We have proudly partnered with GEO-managed correctional facilities since 2005. This is a permanent Action Staffing W-2 position — not temporary employment, 1099 work, or a short-term contract role.
