Nutrition & Facilities Coordinator CASY Early Learning Center | Terre Haute, IN About Us The CASY Early Learning Center is a new, high-quality early childhood program serving children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. As part of Chances and Services for Youth (CASY), we are committed to supporting children and families through strong relationships, play-based learning, and meaningful community impact. We are currently building our team and looking for dependable staff who want to help create a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment for children and families. Position Overview The Nutrition & Facilities Coordinator supports both the nutritional health of children and the cleanliness and organization of the center environment. This role is responsible for preparing meals and snacks, maintaining kitchen sanitation standards, supporting facility cleanliness, and helping ensure the center remains safe, organized, and welcoming for children, families, and staff. The position will begin at the end of July in preparation for our August opening. Key Responsibilities Nutrition & Meal Preparation Prepare and serve meals and snacks in accordance with CACFP guidelines Ensure meals are nutritious, age-appropriate, and safely prepared Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions as needed Maintain meal service schedules and food documentation Kitchen & Food Safety Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen Follow all food safety and health department regulations Monitor food storage, labeling, and temperature logs Ensure proper sanitation during food preparation and service Facilities & Cleaning Coordination Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming center environment Coordinate with third-party janitorial services as needed Monitor cleaning quality and communicate concerns when necessary Maintain cleaning schedules and sanitation documentation Inventory & Center Support Monitor food and cleaning supply inventory Assist with ordering and organization of supplies Support daily center operations as needed Communicate with staff regarding meal service and cleaning schedules Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in food service, childcare nutrition, janitorial, or facilities support preferred Knowledge of CACFP guidelines and food safety practices preferred Food Handler or ServSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain) Ability to meet health department and licensing requirements Ability to pass required background checks What We're Looking For Strong organization and attention to detail Reliability and ability to manage multiple responsibilities Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team Positive attitude and willingness to support a child-focused environment Why Join CASY?
