Position Summary :
With administrative direction, the Director of Facilities plans, organizes, and directs the Facilities Operations Department, overseeing maintenance, housekeeping, grounds, and event services in support of Central Christian Church's ministry goals, vision, and the core values of the FACOPS Department.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Facilities is responsible for the planning, development, and ongoing improvement of existing facilities, as well as the coordination and oversight of new construction projects. The Director monitors projects to ensure efficient completion within established guidelines, approved budgets, and projected deadlines. This position also manages the annual Facilities Operations budget, ensuring the effective and optimal utilization of personnel, facilities, equipment, and other resources.
  • Manage annual budget to include justification of building expenditures and repairs and analyses of operating expenses which include administration of multiple contracts for the operation and maintenance of the facilities.
  • Communicate with Administrative Director about needs, regulations, and procedures for effective facility operations to facilitate cooperative relationships with building staff.
  • Approve specifications and recommend contractors to perform maintenance and repair services by using established procedures.
  • Maintain current drawings and engineering records describing facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor an energy conservation program, making recommendations for efficiency and reduction in the costs of operating the facilities.
  • Attend required meetings and serve, as appropriate, on staff committees.
  • Monitor facilities, grounds, and equipment to ensure that high standards for cleanliness, attractiveness and safety are maintained.
  • Manage facilities staff providing guidance and leadership, setting culture and expectations for excellence, service, and care.
  • Ensure appropriate approvals and setups for events and ministries around the facility.
  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and inspection activities, including performing and delegating work orders as needed.
  • Identify, report, and/or coordinate the correction of maintenance, repair, and safety concerns throughout the facilities.
  • Direct/supervise event setup and teardown.
  • Conducting department goals, plans, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Interviews, hires, and develops personnel.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with vendors and contractors regarding deliveries and scheduled work to be performed.
  • Adherent to church policies for direction on employee discipline and termination procedures.
  • Direct the removal of snow and ice on the assigned shift so that safe conditions exist for facility access.
  • Monitor daily work hours.
  • Complete incident reports for safety/ security incident.
  • Provide a safe working environment for the employees.
  • Perform Emergency Action Plans
  • Complete special projects as requested by ministries.
  • Perform various administrative duties.
  • Monitor, close-out and assign periodic work orders generated by Net Facilities.

          Working Conditions:
          The ability to work in adverse weather conditions which could include, but not limited to hot, cold, dry, moist, and slippery environments. Other environmental factors could be surface noise, lighting, vibrations, and smell.
          Physical Requirements:
          The ability to stand, walk, sit, kneel, bend, reach, grip, climb, push, pull, or carry for a duration of time. Ability to lift 75 pounds. The ability to use fine motor skills including tactile while performing a task .
