Position Overview:
Under minimal supervision responsible for the overall direct supervision of work activities performed in the DUF6 conversion facility by the operations group during an assigned shift. The specific work assignment may include duties or activities to support the organization in one or more of the following functional areas, in addition to other duties as assigned:
Functional:
Manages all the day-to-day operations of the operations group including control room operations and off-shift maintenance and shift supervisors Reviews technical packages, regulations and directives to determine implications on plant operations with respect to safety, environmental compliance and production Directs activities during off-normal or emergency conditions Directs supervision of control room operations, including off-shift maintenance and shift supervisors Provides notification to the Plant Manager and/or Operations Manager regarding any concerns or unusual situations Assists in the development of operating procedures, training materials and emergency preparedness plans and procedures to support the testing, startup and continued operations of the conversion facility Coordinates and oversees the facility work activities for the conversion plant for each operating shift Interfaces and coordinates with site support functions including emergency support Represents the Plant Manager during off hours when the Plant Manager or his/her designated representative is not present at the facility
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 10+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required 4+ years of nuclear experience Ability to obtain and maintain a Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) credential
