This team lead oversees all maintenance activities at the facility and is responsible for managing the various functions of the maintenance department. Why work for Safety-Kleen? Competitive wages Comprehensive health benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment Group 401K/RRSP with company matching component Own part of the company with our Employee Stock Purchase Plan Generous paid time off, company paid training and tuition reimbursement Positive and safe work environments Opportunities for growth and development for all stages of your career Responsibilities Ensures Health & Safety is the #1 priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; Responsible for managing various functions of the maintenance department, including, but not limited to Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical; Assures proper preventative mechanical, electrical and software skills; Ability to support various software control platforms for complete package lines; Ability to assemble components and parts as required by manufacturers; Extensive working knowledge of all plant electrical equipment and applications; Knowledge of inventory management for spare/critical parts; Ensures that work meets all applicable Health & Safety Standard Operating Procedures, holding employees accountable; Reviews all applicable SOPs and ensures work meets compliance standards; What does it take to work at Safety-Kleen? HS Diploma or equivalent
  • required; Strong computer skills (MS Office)
  • required; Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel, from production to management

  • preferred; Strong customer service focus with the ability to assure customer confidence in the operation of equipment

  • required; Demonstrates proficiency in the following trades: Instrumentation and Electrical

  • required; 2+ years of management experience
  • required; Experience in blending and packaging industry
  • preferred; Experience installing and troubleshooting PLC motion control software and hardware including experience in repair/maintenance of capital equipment or electronics such as servo drives
  • preferred; Experience working with HMI's and programmable controllers
  • preferred; Background in project management as an asset
