Since 1960, D'Youville Life & Wellness Community has provided Greater Lowell and surrounding communities with exceptional elder care, earning the respect of its peers and the trust of the community at large. We are looking for an Activities Assistant - Life Enrichment for our Assisted Living Community. Part-time 22.5 hours a week, schedule includes 1 weekend shift. $15.50 to $17.21 per hour based on skills and experience. Activities Assistant -
Life Enrichment Qualifications:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED) Activities experience with older adults preferred, but not required. Enthusiastic and eager to learn. Ability to work well with a team as well as the ability to work independently. Activities Assistant -
Life Enrichment Job Summary:
Assist with coordination, direction and delivery of wellness and recreation programs. Provide hands-on involvement in programs for the majority of their scheduled time. Assist in the supervision, orientation, and planning of volunteers. Assist in the coordination of the calendar events. Assist in the evaluation of the residents wellness needs-exploring the opportunities for resident engagement within the six dimension; purposeful, emotions, physical, spiritual, social and intellectual. Assist in projecting monthly expenditures. Assist in ensuring specialty programs are scheduled. Assist with marketing, promoting and communicating materials, helping to ensure professional quality. Assist in maintaining community environment (including equipment and supplies). Assist in ensuring resident welcome and engagement protocols are in place. Assist in keeping records and inventory of supplies. May be required to assist driving the community van to transport residents to and from, off or on campus activities.
