Primary Services:

Implement and maintain a comprehensive orientation and training program for new Recovery Specialists, updating training materials and practices as needed to reflect current evidence-based practices, regulatory requirements, and program needs. Assist the Program Director with interviewing Recovery Specialist candidates, coordinating onboarding, overseeing orientation, and participating in the evaluation of Recovery Specialist staff. Provide scheduled supervision to all full- and part-time Recovery Specialists. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance guidance to Recovery Specialists and communicate performance concerns to the Program Director as appropriate. Identify training needs among Recovery Specialists and provide or coordinate additional instruction as needed. Coordinate Recovery Specialist schedules and assist the Program Director with securing coverage for open shifts and call-outs. Serve as a resource to Recovery Specialists during shifts regarding resident concerns, behavioral issues, emergencies, and program procedures. Monitor staff adherence to agency policies, program procedures, documentation requirements, professional boundaries, and resident confidentiality. Review Recovery Specialist documentation and shift logs for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate follow-up. Promote consistent implementation of program rules, expectations, and procedures across all shifts. Perform all duties based on residents' needs and schedule. Monitor and promote health and safety of residents.

Additional Responsibilities:

Provide guidance and direction to residents and oversee resident activities to ensure conformance with program policies. Develop residents' skills in the areas of recreation, safety, social activities, and daily living skills. Transport residents for necessary appointments and to outside meetings. Facilitate urine toxicology tests in accordance with program policy. Monitor medication administration in accordance with program policy. Participate in regular supervision, weekly staff meetings, training seminars, and case review. Provide crisis intervention as necessary and ensure the safety of residents. Promote and protect the residents' rights and maintain the confidentiality of protected health information and other confidential information. Adhere to all policies and procedures. Assist in the supervision of housekeeping and maintenance of the residence. Maintain current CPR, First Aid, and annual TB screening. Attend trainings as required and requested by the Program Director. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in human services, behavioral health, or a related field preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered. Minimum of two years of experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, residential services, or a related field required. Prior supervisory or leadership experience required. Experience working in a residential treatment setting strongly preferred. LADC licensure or progress toward licensure preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
