1 About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Recovery Specialist to join an inpatient behavioral health program in Lynn, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals navigating substance use and recovery. The Recovery Specialist provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment for clients while assisting with their recovery process. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for qualified local candidates. Key Responsibilities Maintain the safety, security, and structure of the program milieu. Monitor client activities and provide appropriate support and supervision. Conduct client well-being checks every 30 minutes. Conduct telephone admission screenings and assist with other admission-related duties. Search client belongings upon admission and discharge, or as directed by a supervisor. Complete shift documentation, checklists, records, and other required paperwork accurately and on time. Follow all agency policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Provide a positive, respectful, and supportive presence for clients experiencing addiction and recovery challenges. Collaborate with the treatment team to support client needs and program operations. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Experience working with individuals affected by substance use is preferred. Valid Massachusetts Driver's License in good standing preferred. Strong communication, observation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining a safe and structured environment. Must be a local candidate. Important Eligibility Requirement Candidates must have been separated from all Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before being considered for this position.
