Job Description

We are Brandon, a boys' Nonprofit Residential School providing exceptional stabilization, assessment, educational, residential, clinical and case management services. We help boys to know their past does not determine their futures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Repairing door hardware and door closers. Furniture and flooring repairs and moving. Lightbulb relamping. Assisting with other trades work, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Respond to and isolate urgent repair issues. Assist in overseeing contract vendors and escorting workers in and around the site. Perform routine repairs related to Carpentry, General Maintenance, drywall, painting repairs and assists all other trades as required. Respond to emergency situations and traces, troubleshoots and repairs problems; will wear a cell phone, and carry a shop radio for rapid response. Respond to service calls/staff work order request for escorts, general carpentry & painting duties including picture hanging, safe furniture and equipment moving as needed. Identify safety hazards within the building and incorporate the remediation of such hazards to ensure that the building's staff and occupants work in a safe environment. Participate in our safety training program. Ensure that compliance of all regulatory laws and guidelines are met as they relate to the operation of the building's infrastructure. Responsible for alerting management of building discrepancies. Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation for the buildings. Stays abreast of changes (safety and code) in the field through seminars and other educational means.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School degree required, college preferred Experience with similar populations and environment preferred Facilities services experience required Strong customer service skills required Must have a valid MA driver's license and DEEC CORI/background check Must be comfortable working at heights Must be able to lift and move 50+ pounds Should be or become
