A food processing business in Stoughton, MA is looking to hire an experienced maintenance supervisor for their busy plant. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing a maintenance department in an industrial facility, preferably a food manufacturing facility.
Pay:
$30-$45/hr, DOE.
Schedule:
M-F:
8 hrs a day, 7-8 am start, no on call, occasional Saturdays for scheduled maintenance of projects (less than a handful a year).
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance of an approximately 50,000 sq. ft. food processing facility. Monitor the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as production floor, offices, conference rooms, and parking lots Schedule and perform PMs of plant equipment and repairs to fit within a busy production schedule. Oversee various contractors, such as electricians, refrigeration contractors, plumbers, etc. Ensure efficient tracking of work orders Work with management to address plant-related issues and work to improve plant operations. Hands-on involvement in all maintenance activities. Supervise ad-hoc capital projects. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical and electrical issues (required). General mechanical knowledge, including knowledge of electricity, motors, gear ratios, valves, conveyors, pumps, VFD's, PLC's, control wiring, refrigeration, and hydraulics. Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration preferred Basic Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, and preferably maintenance software such as Maintain X Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Basic math skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask -- must be able to do and oversee many different jobs at the same time. Ability to see the big picture and make changes where needed. Must be able to take direction from Management.
