Job Description
- This position works a 4-Day work week, Monday to Thursday, 6:30am to 5:00pm
- The Safety & Facilities Coordinator supports day-to-day facilities operations while overseeing execution of company-wide safety compliance programs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safety & Compliance (expanded focus area of responsibilities) Manage and track OSHA-required safety training for all employees (online and in-person) Maintain and update company training matrix Coordinate in-person safety training sessions (scheduling, attendance records, documentation) Administer training compliance through KnowBe4 platform in coordination with IT Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) documentation and accessibility Conduct and document monthly safety inspections (fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, emergency lighting, etc.) Assist in audit preparation and regulatory inspections Maintain organized safety records for compliance and reporting Serve as operational liaison to external safety consultants Support incident documentation and corrective action tracking (as needed) Facilities Coordination (ongoing responsibilities) Coordinate vendor access and service scheduling Support preventive maintenance programs Track facility service records and maintenance logs Assist with space planning and operational logistics Support infrastructure projects assigned Respond to building-related issues and coordinate resolution Maintain facility compliance documentation (as applicable)MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Kopin is a defense contractor and is subject to International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to rotate from sitting to standing, lift to 50 pounds, must be comfortable and able to work on a ladder of 20 feet, gown according to clean room protocol, color vision, hearing, push minimum of 100 pounds, bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, crawling, ascending and descending stairs, climbing, and walking
- Requires standing and walking up to 80% of day
- Required to work outside at times and may be exposed to cold, hot, and inclement weather
- The hiring salary range for this position is $30.00 to $38.00 per hour
