Job Description:

Chevy Chase Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland is seeking a Director of Facilities to lead the physical operations of one of the country's most recognized private clubs. Founded in 1892 and ranked among the Platinum Clubs of America, the Club operates on a 200-acre campus of 17 buildings, including three historic structures, serving a membership of approximately 2,500. Recent capital investment includes a $16 million clubhouse renovation and a $17.5 million golf course restoration, with additional capital work underway. The Director leads an 11-person engineering department and is responsible for the maintenance and operation of all Club buildings and mechanical systems, including 64 HVAC units, refrigeration systems, and associated MEP infrastructure. The role reports to the General Manager/COO and partners with a dedicated Project Manager on capital planning and execution. Near-term priorities include an ice rink chiller replacement, Indoor Tennis Center HVAC work, and building a proactive preventative maintenance program. This is a hands-on position requiring direct technical knowledge across trades, and the Club supports the role with a structured professional development budget and IFMA membership.
