Key Responsibilities Provide strategic and operational leadership for facilities, grounds, and infrastructure across two distribution centers Serve as the subject matter expert for industrial refrigeration, freezer systems, coolers, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems Lead preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, uptime, and operational performance Ensure uninterrupted cold-storage operations and rapid response to temperature deviations or equipment failures Maintain audit-ready facilities that support food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance requirements Lead OSHA compliance, fire and life safety programs, inspections, permits, and emergency preparedness initiatives Oversee facility security systems, access controls, alarm systems, and business continuity planning Develop long-term facilities, refrigeration, and cold-storage infrastructure strategies Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, system replacements, and facility improvements Oversee operating budgets, capital budgets, vendor performance, utilities, and facility investments Build, develop, coach, and lead facilities staff while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement Partner with executive leadership to align facilities initiatives with organizational goals and operational priorities Qualifications We're Looking For Significant experience in facilities management, facilities operations, maintenance leadership, or operations management Deep hands-on knowledge of industrial refrigeration, freezer systems, cold-storage infrastructure, and HVAC systems Experience supporting food distribution, cold storage, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, or similarly regulated environments Strong background in preventive maintenance, facility reliability, and equipment lifecycle planning Knowledge of food safety standards, temperature monitoring systems, audit readiness, and corrective action processes Experience leading OSHA compliance, workplace safety programs, and emergency response planning Proven success managing operating and capital budgets Experience leading facility vendors, service providers, and contractor relationships Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, coach, and retain high-performing teams Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skillsWhat Success Looks Like Within your first year, you will: Deliver safe, compliant, audit-ready facilities Improve refrigeration uptime and system reliability Strengthen preventive maintenance and vendor performance programs Lead successful capital improvement projects Enhance emergency preparedness and business continuity plans Build a high-performing facilities team focused on operational excellence and food safety Establish a long-term strategy for cold storage infrastructure and facility resilience Ready to Apply?
