Job Description

Portland Public Library is seeking a full-time Cleaning Technician. Reporting to the Facilities Manager (or a Facilities Specialist in the Manager's absence,) this position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment throughout the Downtown Branch. The position performs a variety of custodial, building-support, and safety-related duties, including cleaning and maintaining public and non-public spaces, operating and maintaining custodial equipment, responding to cleaning and maintenance requests, monitoring supplies, and supporting building security and emergency procedures. The position works primarily at the Downtown Branch and may occasionally be assigned to other Portland Public Library facilities to support special events or operational needs. This is a full-time, non-exempt position scheduled to work 37.5 hours per week. The scheduled hours are 3pm to 11pm. The starting pay range is $19.50-$22.85 per hour commensurate with experience.
