Job Description

Summary:
The Facilities Supervisor is a hands-on workingsupervisor responsible for the daily operation and performance of Liberty Athletic Club's Facilities team. The Supervisor maintains high standards of cleanliness while leading, training, scheduling, and coaching Facilities employees. This position works regular Facilities shifts, assigns and verifies cleaning tasks, conducts routine inspections, ensures staffing and coverage, and works closely with the Facilities & Maintenance (F&M) Manager to address facility and staffing concerns. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Facilities Team Supervision Provide direct day-to-day supervision of Facilities employees. Serve as the primary point of contact for Facilities staff regarding daily assignments, expectations, questions, and operational concerns. Work regular Facilities shifts and model exemplary job performance, professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. Assign daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal cleaning responsibilities. Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, productivity, cleanliness standards, and professional conduct. Provide regular coaching, feedback, recognition, and corrective guidance. Conduct 90-day new-hire and annual performance reviews for Facilities employees, in coordination with the Facilities & Maintenance Manager and Human Resources. Assist F&M Manager with recruiting and onboarding new Facilities employees. Conduct new and current employee training and provide hands-on instruction and follow-up. Scheduling & Staffing Create and maintain the Facilities team schedule using ZoomShift. Ensure appropriate daily coverage while managing labor efficiently. Manage call-offs, shift changes, vacation requests, and coverage needs. Provide shift coverage as needed and communicate any ongoing labor concerns to F&M Manager. Adjust staffing and cleaning assignments based on club traffic, seasonal demands, special events, and operational needs. Cleaning & Quality Control Conduct routine cleaning and quality-control inspections throughout all areas of the club. Develop, maintain, and utilize daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists in coordination with the F&M Manager. Identify and address cleanliness deficiencies and adjust procedures, and recurring issues by adjusting procedures, assignments, or training as needed. Monitor the performance of overnight cleaning contractors and report deficiencies to the F&M Manager. Supplies, Equipment & Safety Monitor inventory of cleaning products, paper products, chemicals, laundry supplies, and other Facilities supplies. Perform basic troubleshooting and routine care of laundry-room and cleaning equipment. Promptly identify and address spills, trip hazards, cleanliness concerns, and other safety hazards. Assist the Facilities & Maintenance Manager with inspections, special projects, seasonal work, and facility preparation as needed. Company Culture Work collaboratively with managers and employees throughout the club to address facility needs. Respond professionally to member concerns and reinforce Liberty Athletic Club's service standards, mission, and core values with Facilities employees. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling employee matters. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise employees while working alongside them. High standards for cleanliness and attention to detail. Strong organizational and scheduling skills. Clear and professional written and verbal communication. Strong customer-service orientation. Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, outlook, and basic communication technology. Ability to address performance concerns and hold staff accountable. Required Education, Certifications and Experience A minimum High school diploma or GED Previous experience in facilities, custodial, housekeeping, hospitality, health club, or similar operations preferred. Previous lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred. Experience scheduling and supervising hourly employees preferred.
Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
