Salaried Exempt Job Summary:
Responsible for management of company-owned facilities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage company-owned facilities and other buildings owned by company President. Coordinate year-round facility upkeep and seasonal preparedness across all facilities. Follow company protocol for requisitions and use cost effective means to purchase parts for facility related repairs. Oversees building and grounds maintenance. Operates, oversees, and maintains custodial functions & staff. Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures. Manages and review service contracts for all facilities. Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections. Checks completed work by vendors and contractors for all facilities. Coordinate maintenance, repair, and safety of the facilities. Planning, coordination, and strategy development for ensuring the long-term improvement of the facilities Following safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations related to facilities. Forecasts, allocates, and supervises the financial and physical resources of the facility management Responsible for reporting at monthly ISO meetings. Coordinate special projects and other duties as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma required; higher education preferred. Facilities experience preferred Strong project management skills Ability to learn and follow OSHA and other environmental regulations Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management General computer experience required. Valid Michigan driver license and ability to be covered on company auto insurance (based on driving record) Required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong project management skills Strong knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in building repair Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization Strong organizational and time management skills and attention to detail Outstanding supervisory skills and ability to motivate and effectively manage staff Strong computer skills Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner Ability to follow and enforce all company policies and procedures
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Ability to stand for an entire shift to perform job duties Physical activity such as walking, bending, reaching, and twisting to access machinery and various areas of the facilities and vehicles Ability to safely ascend and descend steps, stairs, or ladders to access machinery, fork trucks, vehicles, and various areas of the facilities Ability to lift up to 75 pounds while repairing machinery or performing various facility functions Exposure to machinery and loud noises Computer use and keyboarding to perform administrative duties Extensive local travel and occasional regional travel required for company business.
