An Assistant Retail Store Manager provides support to the Manager of a retail store, either an independent business or a store that is part of a large retail chain. May have primary responsibility for hiring and training retail sales staff. Reviews and monitors merchandise sales, inventory and prices, and directs advertising and promotions. Supervises sales, warehouse, cleaning, maintenance and security staff and prepares work schedules. Responsible for resolving customer complaints.

This is a structured training program designed to be completed within 6 months with support from a mentor and trainer. Manage employee performance by providing resources, training, feedback and development opportunities Proactively deliver incredible customer service during the overnight hours Help to problem solve operational challenges while maintaining open two-way communication with managers Coordinate activities, prioritize tasks and ensure the operation runs efficiently for your team Required Qualifications Customer service experience, preferably in a food service, grocery, or retail setting Computer skills Preferred Qualifications Experience leading a team
