Salary range:
$130,000-$160,000 annually per yearLocation:
Candidates must be willing to relocate or be already located in the local Metro Detroit, MI area.Key Responsibilities:
The Director of Facilities Maintenance will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic vision for repairs and maintenance initiatives including renovations aligned with ownership goals and objectives for 350+ locations and 4 corporate office locations throughout North America. Create long-term plans for equipment upgrades, replacements, and maintenance schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency. Build and lead a high-performing repair and maintenance team, providing clear direction, coaching, and mentorship. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and safety within the repair and maintenance department. Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers for repairs, maintenance, and equipment procurement. Negotiate contracts and agreements from a national, regional, and local level, to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of service and supplies. Develop and manage the repairs and maintenance budget, to include operating and capital budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial goals. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize disruptions and downtime. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to repairs and maintenance activities. Implement safety protocols and training programs to minimize accidents and promote a safe working environment. Work within and provide oversight to our Facility Maintenance software system (E-Maintenance).Qualifications:
5+ years' proven experience in a leadership role overseeing repairs, maintenance, and facilities management, preferably in logistics and supply chain industry. Highly skilled in mechanical systems repair, service, and installation (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical). Strong strategic planning and project management skills, with experience in large-scale renovation projects - both interior and exterior. Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and decision-making skills. Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams. In-depth knowledge of equipment maintenance best practices and emerging trends in the field. Knowledge of laws and standards pertaining to OHSA, and local and state building codes and regulations. Demonstrated experience in negotiation of service requirements and contracts. Must be proactive, well-organized, and results-oriented with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Pay:
