We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facility Manager to oversee daily operations for this intimate, home-like setting. This role is responsible for keeping the facility in full compliance with Minnesota Statute 144G (Assisted Living licensing requirements), supervising direct care staff, coordinating resident health and scheduling needs, and serving as the primary point of contact for residents and their families. The ideal candidate is organized, compliance-minded, and comfortable being reachable by phone for resident needs outside standard business hours. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Ensure the facility remains continuously compliant with Minnesota Statute 144G and all related assisted living licensing requirements. Coordinate with outside vendors, consultants, or software/services (e.g., HR/hiring platforms, compliance consultants) as needed to support and maintain compliance. Stay current on regulatory updates and communicate changes to staff and the Director. Staff Supervision Supervise direct care staff (ULP) to ensure accurate and timely charting/documentation. Build, manage, and adjust staff schedules to maintain adequate facility coverage. Monitor staff performance and provide coaching or corrective guidance as needed. Resident Care Coordination Maintain each resident's calendar, including appointments and care-related events. Coordinate resident medical visits with BlueStone Physicians (typically on-site) and arrange transportation/scheduling for the occasional outside doctor's appointment. Serve as a point of contact for residents and be available by phone at all times to address resident needs. Facility & Meal Operations Ensure staff properly prepares resident meals in accordance with dietary needs and facility standards. Maintain overall cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. Reporting & Collaboration Report regularly to the Director on facility operations, staffing, and compliance status. Collaborate with the Director on decisions involving staffing, vendors, and resident care. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required (minimum). Prior experience in assisted living, senior care, or healthcare facility management preferred. Working knowledge of Minnesota Statute 144G or willingness to become proficient quickly. Strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable managing schedules and documentation systems. Experience supervising direct care staff (ULP/CNA or similar) preferred. Current CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain. Ability to pass a background study as required for assisted living licensure. Must be reachable by phone for resident needs, including outside of standard business hours. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, for occasional outside medical appointments and errands. Physical Requirements Ability to lift/assist residents up to 50 lbs as needed. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
