Position Summary Located in southeast Missouri, Bloomfield is a small town with rich history, and we are proud to call it home to one of our litter factories since 1976. Our factory in Bloomfield was the first to produce Lightweight® litter, a product that weighs half the amount of conventional litter, revolutionizing the pet care industry. An innovative feature of this factory is an overhead bridge that allows full pallets of finished products to be conveyed to a warehouse with an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) just north of the factory. This innovation, along with others, played a significant role in Nestlé Purina earning the Malcolm Baldrige Award, the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive. As a Facility Quality Specialist (Compliance), you'll support the Pet Litter & Accessories division as it continues to grow its market leadership through consumer-focused products. You'll help with the implementation, coordination, and maintenance of Nestlé Purina Quality Systems and play a key role in the documentation and auditing of these programs. While always striving for the next level of compliance and fulfilling the role of Net Contents Specialist, you'll also develop any new quality systems for our factory. Facilitate document reviews and ensure all documents meet control requirements. Lead CAPA investigations and apply the elements of corrective actions, including root cause analysis, problem solving and risk analysis, in resolving quality problems. Prepare for third-party assessment for ISO and Nestlé Internal Audits. Manage factory calibration programs to ensure compliance with scales and quality test equipment. Ensure quality training material is consistent, formatted, and relevant with quiz material including monitoring completion rates and conducting follow ups as necessary. Conduct capability studies to set targets for each filling line to minimize overfill and manage net content deviations and ultimately, provide recommendations for hold dispositions. Manage factory calibration programs to ensure compliance with scales and quality test equipment. Assist with vendor qualification and accountability as it pertains to quality attributes and corrective action. Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving tools to improve quality, efficiency, and process performance. Requirements High School diploma or GED required. 2+ years working in compliance or quality in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment. Other ISO or SQF certification preferred PCQI experience preferred Degree preferred Don't meet all the qualifications listed under "other"? These are preferred, but not required. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
