SummaryOur Regional Facility Managers take pride in ensuring our glamping locations are operational, safe, functional, and well-maintained so that our guests can fully utilize and enjoy our amenities, tents, and common areas. Situated just minutes away from the country's most popular national parks and recreation areas, our locations range in size from 40-100 glamping tents, many of which have their own showers, toilets, and wood-burning stoves.

Reporting directly to the Director of Facilities and Set Up, and partnering with hospitality operations, you are the maintenance expert, overseeing, training, and performing maintenance tasks with your Facilities Team.

This position is based in Utah due to its proximity to multiple Utah camp locations, and requires the ability to become a Utah Water Certified Operator.

ResponsibilitiesServe as the maintenance expert for multiple locations with up to 100 high-quality outdoor accommodations with plumbing, communal areas, bathhouses, laundry facilities, food and beverage operations, vehicles, and equipmentSupport the property maintenance teams, directing their performance on day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs to tents, plumbing systems, propane gas water heaters, propane heaters, decks/structures, trailers, vehicles, generators, solar power equipment and moreServe as point person for scheduling, purchasing, and executing work for many capital maintenance projects both during operational and shoulder seasonsInterview and assist with the hiring of Facilities department team membersAttend regular Facilities Management team meetingsLead weekly meetings with your team to provide direction, training, and insightCreate and maintain resources, checklists, SOPs, and onboarding materials to support and standardize practices across camp teamsSet direction and work side by side with your Facilities Teams, mentoring, modeling performance standards, setting expectations, and holding others accountableEstablish priorities to meet short and long-term goals based on multiple factors including safety, resources, and direction from the Regional Director and Facilities Management teamsInspire your team to be engaged and committed to excellenceInspect what you expect from your team, providing timely, constructive feedbackPrioritize tasks to achieve goals, both tactically and strategicallyBalance maintenance tasks with business planning and administrative proceduresExpect the unexpected and lead with composureFrom inclement weather to the fast pace of a growing company, your ability to adapt to change will be criticalAnalyze problems, be resourceful, and take initiative to implement solutionsFollow through and complete projects on time and accuratelyBe an active listener to guests and co-workers, an approachable leader, and a collaborative team memberEngage regularly, genuinely, and professionally with guests, visitors, and team membersDeliver timely communication and follow up toappropriate teammembers and guestsOther duties as assignedPreferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMinimum of three years' experience as a Facilities Manager, leading a facilities team, preferably in customer-focused, outdoor environments, hospitality, or parks and recreationMinimum of three years of troubleshooting and performing maintenance tasksKnowledge in septic, plumbing, wood stoves, propane, gas, electric, and generators preferredExperience maintaining and troubleshooting solar power systemsExperience maintaining and troubleshooting diesel and propane backup generatorsKnowledge of maintenance budgets and resourcesAbility to obtain andmaintainUtah CertifiedWaterOperator statusAdditional InformationAbility to lift 50lbs independently; all lifts over 51 lbs. require assistance from a co-workerAbility to be active for long days and walk long distances (sometimes at higher altitudes)Ability needed to work outdoors in difficult terrain and conditions that include high winds, heat, sun, rain, and snowBend and stoopDrive and operate equipment as needed, including company vehicleCompany vehicle provided for travel between camp locationsGrasping objects to move or manipulate constantlyObserve and respond to challenging, sometimes dangerous situations including seasonal and quickly changing weather conditionsTravel required to and between camp locationsStand and walk over slippery and/or uneven natural walking surfaces for the majority of the work dayTwisting and reaching frequentlyThis position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background check and/or motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.

This position may require a valid certificate of DOT physical examination and satisfactory completion of a road test performed by a competent person, if requested by Under Canvas.
