Job Description
NJ/NY Gotham FC ("Gotham FC" or "the Club") is a National Women's Soccer League ("NWSL") team representing New Jersey and New York. The team plays at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, NJ.
The Role:
Gotham FC is looking for a highly organized Senior Coordinator of Facilities to support daily operations, maintenance, and overall functionality of the Gotham FC Training Center. This role manages building upkeep, housekeeping coordination, vendor support, and event assistance, including open training, external rentals, and special events. The ideal candidate has strong working knowledge of building systems and excels in problem‐solving, communication, and teamwork. This is an onsite role in Whippany, NJ at the Gotham FC Training Center. The role requires availability beyond standard business hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily facility inspections, coordinate routine maintenance, perform or facilitate minor repairs, and respond promptly to urgent needs.
- Support preventative maintenance scheduling including but not limited to maintaining contrast pools, and sauna services.
- Assist with ensuring the housekeeping staff and outside cleaning vendors are meeting cleaning standards, staffing needs, and maintaining cleaning supply levels.
- Coordinate with vendors and utility providers; track service schedules, documentation, and billing.
- Assist with building inspections, permits, and compliance requirements for state and local regulations.
- Support capital planning and facility improvement projects, including gathering bids and monitoring contractor work.
- Partner with grounds staff to maintain the facility exterior, fencing, and signage.
- Manage key inventory and access levels; collaborate with Security on building coverage and incident response.
- Provide operational support for special events and facility rentals, including vendor coordination and load‐in/load‐out.
- Help coordinate Facilities team schedules, supply purchasing, tool upkeep, and organizational storage needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications:
- 2+ years of facilities or building maintenance experience; supervisory or lead responsibilities a plus.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical systems; multiple disciplines a plus.
- General maintenance experience; relevant certifications preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience coordinating vendors.
- Highly organized, detail‐oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast‐paced environment.
- Strong communication and time‐management skills; proactive problem-solver.
- Computer proficient with maintenance scheduling and facility documentation.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to maintaining a high‐quality NWSL Training Center.
- In carrying out responsibilities, you will be asked to complete physical tasks that could require carrying or lifting loads up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders/stairs, kneeling, walking, and reaching overhead.
Location :
This position is fully in-person, based at Gotham FC's soccer operations office and practice facility, located in Whippany, New Jersey. Ability to attend home games and any mandatory events, as necessary. A willingness to travel for other business-related needs, as they arise. Ability to work at the team's business operations office in Jersey City, New Jersey, as needed.
