About the Role Facility Assistant 2 is responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and cleanliness of a building or facility. Their duties include cleaning, maintenance, and basic repairs, and they may also handle tasks like coordinating office moves, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional department. To achieve this, you may be required to complete tasks through multiple distribution functions.
What You'll Do Cleaning and Maintenance:
This includes tasks like sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility. They may also be responsible for deep cleaning projects like floor stripping or shampooing. Performs in-house maintenance such as corrugated collection and breakdownBasic Repairs:
May handle minor repairs, such as fixing leaky faucets, replacing light bulbs, or patching walls.Inventory Management:
They may be responsible for tracking and managing supplies, ensuring adequate stock of cleaning and maintenance materials, and potentially ordering supplies. Performs inventory audit of all supply closets. Replenishes supply closets. Responsible for auditing and collecting our onsite recycling collectionSafety and Compliance:
Ensuring a safe work environment by following safety regulations, conducting inspections (PM's), and addressing potential hazards.Coordination and Communication:
Work with other departments and personnel to coordinate tasks, respond to requests, perform documented PMs and ensure smooth operations. May work in the Shipping and Receiving department to assist with replenishment, picking orders and closing station duties. All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific. All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance to the Training Management Process (PR-00042). Exercises good use of company funds and property within the guidelines set. Always maintains an honest and professional attitude as the company's representative. Contributes to a safe working environment by maintaining your own workspace and reporting any potential hazards. Ability to engage in the continuous improvement of culture.
