Job Summary:
We are recruiting for a Facilities Technician opportunity supporting a highly regulated industrial and commercial environment where reliable building systems are critical. Our team is looking for a skilled professional who can help maintain HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and facility infrastructure to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and service air handling equipment, air filters, differential pressure monitoring systems, and air balancing equipment. Support refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, VAV systems, boilers, pumps, valves, piping, and related controls. Diagnose system issues, implement corrective actions, and perform repairs and installations on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components. Complete preventive maintenance, monitor equipment readings, and carry out routine facility repairs such as patching, caulking, painting, lock repair, and piping work.
Required:
5-8 years of HVAC experience in an industrial or commercial facility environment, with preference for regulated laboratory or vivarium settings. Commercial and industrial HVAC experience preferred over residential experience. EPA refrigerant handling certification required. HVAC certification and strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills required. Experience managing refrigerants in compliance with NJ and EPA requirements and maintaining accurate usage and inventory records. Ability to maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation.
