Facility Technician Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County Trenton, NJ Job Details Part-time $18 - $20 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Attention to detail Organizational skills Waste collection Manual handling Full Job Description Job Summary The Boys & Girls Club of Mercer County is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our youth, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works independently, and is committed to ensuring our facilities are clean and well-maintained each day. Responsibilities Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust all assigned areas. Empty trash and recycling containers. Clean windows, doors, and other glass surfaces. Refill restroom and cleaning supplies as needed. Maintain floors by mopping, buffing, and spot cleaning. Perform routine building inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with room setups and breakdowns for meetings and special events. Operate cleaning equipment safely and according to instructions. Follow all health and safety regulations and organizational policies. Perform other custodial and facility-related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred but not required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, walking, and climbing stairs. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including a background check.
