Job Description
Overview Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian church seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Church Administrator to provide operational support to the Pastor and church leadership in our welcoming, inclusive community. The ideal candidate is self-directed, dependable, professional and able to manage priorities independently while communicating clearly and following through on task assignments. Responsibilities Serve as the primary office contact for members, visitors and contractors; respond to phone, email and in-person inquiries. Prepare and manage church communications, including the newsletters, bulletin and online platforms, maintain church member database. Coordinate the church calendar and facility use by internal and outside groups, including scheduling, contracts, keys, setup instructions, walkthroughs, and policy compliance. Oversee facility operations and maintenance, including volunteers, contractor access, ordering supplies and readiness for events and Sunday services. Handle vendor management by coordinating with service providers for facility maintenance, supplies, and other operational needs while maintaining budget adherence. Requirements Prior experience in office management or administrative roles or related professional experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), spreadsheets, and office management software. Bachelor's degree preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and professionally. High level of confidentiality, discretion, flexibility and teamwork.
