Your Role Work Location:
Metro Self-Storage 1575 Main Street Buffalo, NY 14209
Work Hours:
We are looking to hire 2 part-time employees, working between 16 and 20 hours per week.
Potential work days/hours are:
Monday through
Friday:
8:45pm to 5:30pm
Saturday:
8:45am to 4:30pm (Saturday availability is required) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility: Handle day-to-day upkeep of buildings and outdoor areas, including painting, floor care, lawn maintenance, snow removal, and basic repairs, to ensure everything looks great and works as it should. Prepare vehicles for customer use or storage: Clean, detail, and inspect vehicles, checking tires, batteries, and more, so they're ready for smooth hand-offs and secure storage.
Assist with Jeep Top services:
Help customers with add-on services like Jeep top installations or removals. Full training is provided.
Keep equipment in working order:
Perform light maintenance and cleaning on facility tools and systems to ensure safety and reliability.
Jump in where needed:
Support your team by handling other tasks as they come up, helping the facility run smoothly day to day.
Support customers throughout their visit:
Welcome current and prospective customers, guide them around the facility, show available storage units, explain options, and answer basic questions. Provide occasional backup support at the front desk as needed. Salary $21-$23 per hour, depending on experience What You Bring We're looking for candidates with the following skills, abilities, and interests: Enjoys helping people and communicates clearly Stays focused and productive, even with routine tasks Manages time well and follows through on responsibilities
Education & Experience Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
Prior janitorial, maintenance, or customer service experience Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently bend, crouch, stoop, reach, and climb stairs, ramps, or ladders. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently, 75 pounds occasionally, and 100 pounds rarely. Ability to safely navigate tight or confined spaces and operate ladders, hand tools, power tools, and grounds maintenance equipment. Manual dexterity, coordination, hearing, and vision sufficient to operate equipment and perform job duties safely. Comfortable working in indoor environments where temperatures may range from 50°F to 85°F. Diversity and Inclusion At William S.
