$250,000 - $325,000+ per year Position Overview MedStaff Group is recruiting an experienced Medical Director / Attending Physician on behalf of a growing healthcare organization providing care throughout multiple skilled nursing facilities in the Cortland and surrounding Central New York region. This position combines clinical leadership with hands-on patient care and offers the opportunity to oversee medical services across several facilities while working closely with administrators, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams. We are seeking a physician who is highly clinical, collaborative, and experienced in caring for geriatric and post-acute populations. Candidates with strong Internal Medicine backgrounds and experience in the skilled nursing environment are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Serve as Medical Director and Attending Physician across multiple skilled nursing facilities Provide primary, post-acute, and long-term care services to residents Perform admissions, follow-up visits, annual assessments, and chronic disease management Collaborate with nursing leadership, administrators, specialists, and facility staff Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions Assist with reducing hospital readmissions and improving patient outcomes Ensure timely and accurate documentation within facility EMR systems Provide clinical leadership and guidance to facility teams Qualifications MD or DO licensed in New York Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine Strong Internal Medicine experience required Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Long-Term Care, or Geriatric Medicine experience preferred Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work effectively across multiple facilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary: $250,000 - $325,000+ annually Additional compensation opportunities based on coverage and productivity Health Insurance Paid Time Off Travel Reimbursement Flexible Scheduling Tuition Reimbursement Strong administrative and clinical support This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking a leadership role while maintaining an active clinical practice and making a meaningful impact on the care of geriatric patients throughout the Central New York region.Benefits
