The incumbent reports and works directly with the Director with minimum supervision. Must complete all DoD and Service training requirements within the specified time including oriention, initial, and annual ongoing training requirements, and any required certificions. Must maintain current CPR, First Aid, and Food Handlers certificions. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and communice effectively orally and in writing. The incumbent is required to have mobility necessary to ensure safety of children and youth and engage in repetitive actions such as walking, standing, bending, stooping, and sitting on the floor. The incumbent must have the visual and auditory capabilities to supervise children and youth, to comply with sight and sound supervision requirements and to provide immedie responses when applicable. Tour of duty may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Majority of the work is performed in the CYS facility, including classroom settings, activity areas, and outdoor areas, with occasional indoor and outdoor field trips.
