Typically board-certified in emergency medicine or pediatric emergency medicine. Generally responsible for either the creation of protocols for treatment by prehospital providers or providing leadership to the group of physicians who assist with the provision of medical oversight depending on which model of service delivery and which model of medical control are operating.

Job Description
Great opportunity for an Emergency Medicine Site Medical Director to lead a high-volume, award winning ED in downstate NY along the Hudson River - south of Poughkeepsie and north of White Plains. Emergency Medicine Residency trained and boarded only Must have at least 4-5 years exp as an ED Director or solid ED Assistant Director experience Will be required to work clinically - on avg 48-72 clinical hrs/month You will take call as required for all things related to the ED Responsible for the schedules 13 full time physicians and 9 full time APP's Currently 2.3 patients per hour but purposely decreasing to 2.00 when new staffing model of 53 MD/day and 37 APP is implemented which is now $375-475K salary, start date bonus of $60K for 2 yr commitment, holiday pay, 401k, Site Medical Director Stipend of $290K, and much more Please reply to Job ID#7227.
