Business Office Manager - Skilled Nursing Facility Beavercreek Post Acute Dayton, OH Job Details Full-time 2 hours ago Benefits Employee stock purchase plan Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off Qualifications Computer operation Customer communication Hospice experience Microsoft Office High school diploma or GED Patient collections management Full Job Description What You'll Be Responsible For The Business Office Manager will oversee a variety of financial and reimbursement functions, including: Managing RFMS processes and requirements Completing and tracking Medicaid pending applications Managing private pay accounts receivable Following up on outstanding balances and performing collections Meeting with residents and families to explain:

Medicare coverageMedicaid coverage and pending applicationsPrivate insurance coverageHospice coveragePrivate pay responsibilitiesChanges in coverage and financial responsibility Preparing and managing NOMNCs (Notices of Medicare Non-Coverage) as required Completing bank reconciliations Serving as backup for Accounts Payable Monitoring resident accounts and identifying issues requiring follow-up Communicating with insurance companies, hospice providers, residents, responsible parties, and other payors Maintaining accurate documentation and financial records Partnering with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary team regarding financial and coverage concerns Assisting residents and families through the Medicaid process and following applications through determination Helping ensure business office processes meet company, payer, and regulatory requirements Performing additional business office responsibilities as needed What We're Looking For Qualified candidates should have previous business office, billing, reimbursement, or accounts receivable experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting .
Experience should include:
RFMS PointClickCare (PCC) Medicaid pending applications and follow-up Medicare and Medicaid coverage Private insurance coverage Hospice billing and coverage Private pay accounts receivable Collections NOMNC processes Bank reconciliation Accounts Payable processes Resident and family financial communication The Right Person for This Role Technical knowledge is important, but so is the ability to work with people. Residents and families are often trying to understand complicated insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and payment requirements during an already stressful time. Our Business Office Manager must be able to explain this information clearly, patiently, professionally, and compassionately . The successful candidate will be someone who: Communicates confidently and professionally Provides excellent customer service Is comfortable discussing financial obligations and outstanding balances Can explain complicated coverage information in understandable language Follows through and keeps commitments Is highly organized and detail-oriented Can manage multiple deadlines and priorities Takes ownership of problems and works toward solutions Works well independently while also being part of an interdisciplinary team Maintains professionalism and confidentiality Is helpful, responsive, and respectful when working with residents, families, employees, and outside partners Schedule This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position . Because healthcare does not operate on a traditional Monday-through-Friday schedule, the Business Office Manager must have the flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends when facility needs require it. Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment as well as proficient in Microsoft products computer skills. Must have previous experience in a long-term care or other healthcare facility. Language Skills Ability to read technical procedures. Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees. Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills Knowledge and experience with RFMS, PCC, Microsoft preferred. Physical Demands The essential functions of this position require the following physical abilities: Prolong use of computer. Standing and /or walking very frequently. Sitting occasionally. Reaching with hands and arms frequently, pushing/pulling very frequently. Talking and /or hearing very frequently. Lifting up to 50 pounds frequently. Close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception in vision: ability to adjust focus.
