POSITION DESCRIPTION
This is specialized work involving the maintenance of agency property, non-profit community capital housing properties, and equipment. As an employee of the Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD), the job incumbent shall always comply with all Board policies, and shall demonstrate respect for, support the dignity of, and observe the rights of all individuals served by the Board and demonstrate sensitivity to diverse beliefs, cultures, values and family structures.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent Three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on skilled trade experience (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, etc.) and building maintenance Knowledge of maintenance, use of tools and small equipment for commercial and residential settings Knowledge of construction materials and use for commercial and residential settings Ability to routinely lift maintenance equipment and materials Demonstrate ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
REQUIREMENTS
Must satisfactorily pass a post-offer medical physical demands analysis and consistently maintain ability to pass such testing Satisfactory BCI/FBI background check, Abuser Registry checks and drug test Possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio driver's license with less than five (5) violations on record at any time Commitment to MCBDD's Code of Conduct and values (available at www.miamicountydd.org).
DUTIES:
Maintains a safe environment within and outside of the MCBDD and provides continual maintenance to the MCBDD facility and all non-profit community capital housing properties. Provide oversight and maintenance of the facility during evening and/or weekend events as assigned. Provide emergency after-hours maintenance to all non-profit community capital properties as assigned. Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facility, equipment and all non-profit community capital properties. Completes assigned work in a timely and professional manner. Complete necessary maintenance tracking documentation coinciding with work orders. Assists in the testing of systems, including fire alarms, door openers and emergency equipment. Conducts emergency drills, to include but not limited to; fire and tornado drills Provides maintenance and repair duties, to include but not limited to; all vehicles, various wiring, lighting, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpet, wall coverings, building walls, windows, doors, moving furniture, roofing, parking lot, laundry equipment, exhaust fans, equipment, cabinetry, appliances and sheds Collaborate with all employees within the organization to provide input regarding problem solving maintenance concerns/needs. Provide input/feedback, as requested, to the Operations Manager or Director, regarding future planning for the maintenance of the facility and non-profit community capital properties Performs plowing, salting, shoveling, etc., to keep parking lots and sidewalks free of snow, ice and other potential hazards Able to work independently to begin, problem solve and complete projects and maintenance. Collaborates with contractors, providers and individuals served while completing work at the facility or non-profit community capital properties Perform any other related duties as assigned
HOURS:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. andon-call as assigned
SALARY:
$18.85 - $26.93 an hour based on experience
FLSA:
Non-Exempt from overtime
